Welcome to the website for the City of Durham Parish Council.
The Council became a recognised legal entity in its own right on 1st April 2018 and the first elections to the Parish Council took place on Thursday 3rd May 2018.
We are made up of 15 Parish Councillors representing three wards:
Elvet and Gilesgate
Durham South
Nevilles Cross
Our priorities for the City of Durham Parish Council area for 2022-23
Each year, Parish Councillors agree an action plan in the form of a Parish Council Strategy for the coming financial year. This allows residents to see our priorities for the community. The latest copy of our Strategy can be found here. This is supplemented by our agreed Action Plan for 2022-23.
